The Debessiere grooming salon is open seven (7) days a week by appointment. Our priority is the quality of the services, the psychology of your companion. Each dog or cat is groomed individually taking into consideration, the age, and its previous experiences . The grooming is done under the best conditions, eliminating unnecessary tensions for your companion.

Gentle soothing music come with the appointment

No medication is given to calm the animals, this is illegal. Each companion is an individual. The grooming is adapted to his age, his character, his experiences and if any physical or health problems.

What is most important is that the grooming be done in calm atmosphere and the well being of the companion. Depending on the dog, the owner may stay and assist.

·It is to recommended to brush the dog every week. Verify the presence of knots with a comb, especially at the points of friction, under the front legs, the beard and chest. A metal comb with 2 widths of teeth is recommended. A nice brush finishes the toilet

A nail cutter ideally they should be trimmed once a week, it prevents deformed toes and when the nails are too long it hurts when they walk.

Super clot is an aid to stop bleeding, should the nail be cut too short.

The ears especially the folded ones, pay close attention to removing the hairs inside the ear and make sure to dry properly. This helps to prevents otites.

The hair, under the paws between the cushions should be trimmed, to prevent the accumulation of snow ice during the winter, for the summer gum tiny pebbles etc.

One must have a good dog shampoo. I recommend the company Sabine et Gaspard, lanoline tearless is very gentle also the Lavender and tea tree, This is a natural repellent for mosquitoes and minor irritations.

You can wash the companion completely once a month, the legs and beard can be done once a week. What is important is to rinse well, this will help to prevent irritations.

Not to have doggie odours, you must dry the hair with the help of the hair dryer at cool or medium cycle not getting to close to the dog to make him uncomfortable.

To get the inflatable effect on the legs, you brush the hair upwards while drying.

The anal gland should be checked by a veterinarian or professional groomer.

The teeth should be brushed once a day with a doggie tooth paste or with a small amount of baking soda and peroxide.

The teeth are professionally cleaned by a veterinarian or professional groomer once a year or as needed by the companion.
